The Bear Jack - a Bodyweight Plyometric Exercise.

BEAR JACK

Bodyweight Plyometric Exercise

I call these Bear Jacks - a plyometric bodyweight movement pattern inspired by the animal kingdom.

Here are a few pointers:

  1. This is an advanced move only attempt this if you have experience with Animal Moves or bodyweight type exercises that are plyometric in nature.

  2. Crouch on all fours with your hands under your shoulders, and knees under the hips with palms down on the floor and resting on the balls of your feet.

  3. Squeeze your glutes and brace your abs as if you were about to be punched in the gut.

  4. Then press yourself up forcefully so that your hands and feet leave the floor simultaneously.

  5. Lower quickly and with control into a push-up position with wide legs.

  6. Then press yourself up forcefully again back into the start position, that’s one rep.
