Cat Walk - on a Balance Rail

Cat Walk on a Balance Rail

Cat Walk - an Animal Move mimicking a cat walking along a garden fence.

This is a whole-body exercise which is great for core stability but also works stability of the ankles, shoulders and wrist too.

This quadrupedal movement pattern (moving on all fours) also improves coordination and balance - improving brain function too.

  1. Start in a low crouched position with a relatively low profile.

  2. Cat Walk forward on your hands and feet, keep tension in the midsection of the torso to maintain stability.

  3. Move similarly to the Bear Crawl keeping movement slow and controlled.
